Cross Docking Project

Implementation Process:

• Goods from suppliers or manufacturers are transported to Thành Đạt’s cross-docking center.
• At the center, goods are unloaded from inbound vehicles, sorted according to their final destinations, and quality-checked to ensure there is no damage or error. After sorting, the goods are moved directly to the outbound area to be loaded onto outbound vehicles assigned to specific routes or customers. Finally, the goods are delivered to their final destinations such as retail stores, distribution centers, or directly to end customers.

Advantages:

• Reduced storage costs since goods do not need to be warehoused — they can be considered as being stored directly on transit vehicles during the transportation process. Businesses can reduce or eliminate warehouse-related expenses.
• Optimized transportation: Goods from multiple sources can be consolidated and transported together, helping maximize load efficiency and reduce shipping costs.
